Thomas F. Farley
Chairman
Tom Farley was appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees in June 2011. Prior to that he was Chief Executive Officer and led the company through its reorganization to a REIT structure in 2010. Prior to these positions Tom was President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Commercial Operations and Senior Vice President, Western Canada, in addition to various senior management positions at Brookfield Office Properties and its affiliates. While at Brookfield Office Properties, Tom has been involved with several major acquisitions including the O&Y portfolio, the landmark Bankers Hall complex, Suncor Energy Centre and Fifth Avenue Place in Calgary.
Prior to joining Brookfield Office Properties, Tom spent twelve years with Morguard Investments in Calgary and Toronto. He holds a CRF designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada, a B.A. from the University of Victoria and has completed the Executive Management Program with the American Management Association.
Jan Sucharda
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jan Sucharda was named President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Trustees in June 2011. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer since 2010. Prior to these positions, he was Chief Operating Officer since 2009 and before that Senior Vice President, Investments & Strategic Initiatives, responsible for overseeing acquisition and disposition initiatives and arranging various forms of financing. Prior to that, Jan was Senior Vice President, Asset Management, with O&Y Properties and O&Y REIT. In addition, Jan has held positions in underwriting, restructuring and asset management with a major financial institution and project management with a Toronto-based construction management company.
Jan has a B.Sc. (Eng) from Queen’s University and a Masters in Business Administration from York University.
Bryan Davis
Chief Financial Officer
Bryan Davis was re-appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and also currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Brookfield Office Properties. He was appointed this position following four years as Senior Vice President, Finance and one year as a Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to that, Bryan spent four years in various senior finance positions including Chief Financial Officer of Trilon Financial Corporation, Brookfield Asset Management's financial services subsidiary. In his current role, Bryan is responsible for corporate finance, reporting, tax and treasury for Brookfield Office Properties and its subsidiaries. Prior to joining Brookfield Asset Management in 1999, Bryan worked in restructuring and advisory services at Deloitte & Touche.
Bryan is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University.
T. Nga Trinh
Senior Vice Presidents, Investments
T. Nga Trinh has held her present position since 2005; prior to that she was Vice President and Controller from 2002 and prior to that Vice President, Financial Management. Before joining BPO Properties in 2000, she was with the Taxation Services Group of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Nga is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
Deborah R. Rogers
Senior Vice President, Legal Counsel and Secretary
Deborah Rogers was appointed Vice President, Legal and Secretary for the company in 2004. Prior to joining Brookfield, Deborah was a partner at a major Toronto law firm.
Deborah holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary.
Elliott S. Feintuch
Associate Counsel
Elliott Feintuch was appointed Associate Counsel in 2006, a position which he held since 2002 at O&Y Properties Corporation and its related entities. Prior to that time, Elliott practiced law at the law firm of Lo Faso & Feintuch.
Elliott is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada, holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Accounting from Touro College in New York.
Matthew P. Cherry
Director, Investor Relations and Communications
Matt Cherry was named Director, Investor Relations and Communications for Brookfield Office Properties in 2010 following two years as Manager of Corporate Communications. Prior to joining Brookfield, Matt worked in the Worldwide Communications department at Pfizer Inc. in New York City.
Matt holds an M.A. in Corporate Communications from Baruch College in New York City and a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
